Pointe
Pointe Shoes enable the dancer to dance ‘En Pointe,’
or on the tips of her toes. Pointe Shoes provide the support required to
hold the dancers’ body weight through the arch and around the toes. The
stiff midsole or shank supports the bottom or arch of the foot and can
vary in strength. The ‘box’ of the shoe which encases the toes is stiff
and comes in different shapes to suit different feet. The top part of
the box is called the vamp and the sides of the shoe are called wings,
these elements contribute to the Pointe Shoe’s overall supportiveness.
We pride ourselves on giving expert Pointe Shoe
fittings and stock one of the largest ranges of Pointe Shoes in
Australia which include Bloch, Energetiks, Grishko, Gaynor Minden and
Capezio. Our store in Brendale, Brisbane has become a destination where
dancers travel from far and wide to be professionally fitted with the
most diverse selection of pointe shoes.
It is very important that Pointe Shoes are fitted
correctly. Please only order from our website if you are certain of your
style, size and width of your Pointe Shoe.
No refunds or exchanges will be given on Pointe
Shoes for change of mind or incorrect size selection.
