Ballet
Like most dance shoes, ballet shoes are designed to fit like a glove. This allows the dancer to feel the floor, and also enables the dance teacher to evaluate the student's feet.
Ballet shoes are either made from soft leather or from canvas, both of which stretch to the shape of the dancer's foot. They can have either a full sole or split sole, made of suede. A split-soled ballet shoe is more flexible, however students are normally required to wear full-soled ballet shoes for exams.
For ease of searching, our ballet shoes are divided into ballet, contemporary, pointe, demi-pointe and accessories in the menu bar on the left.
